URENCO Nederland receives licence approval for expansion

URENCO has been granted a nuclear licence to increase capacity at the Group’s Dutch
facility located in Almelo, the Netherlands. The licence will enable capacity to increase
to 6,200 tSW/a, representing a 25% increase on the previous licence limit.

The licence approval is in-line with URENCO’s strategic direction of growing capacity in
order to meet the commitments of the Group’s order book, which currently stretches
beyond 2025.

This capacity expansion will also contribute towards URENCO’s long-term objective of
reaching Group capacity levels of 18,000 t/SWa by 2015, in order to remain the leading
enrichment supplier worldwide.

Expansion at URENCO’s Dutch facility will also provide a range of economic and social
benefits, securing long-term employment and community relationships in the Almelo
area and providing financial stability and investment in the local and national economy.
