URENCO USA offers a variety of scholarships through New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) and University of the Southwest (USW), both located in Hobbs, New Mexico.

Applied Science Energy Technology Scholarship  

As part of its commitment to the local community and to serving the resurgent nuclear industry, URENCO USA established a scholarship program for local students interested in math and the sciences.

The program provides opportunities to students by offering full college scholarships covering tuition, fees and books for a college education. Up to twenty full scholarships are awarded each year to local qualified applicants enrolled at New Mexico Junior College and seeking an Associate in Applied Science Energy Technology program. The company hopes to fill new and vacant positions, while at the same time, supporting the local community.

Students must submit an application, transcripts and letters of recommendation. Recipient selections are made by the scholarship committee based on GPA scores, interest in math and science fields, and community involvement.
